So, what's a good baby Chinese name for year of Rabbit? When is actually the beginning of Chinese new year?

After Dongzhi (the Earth New Year), very soon will be the Human Chinese New Year - Lichun 立春.

The coming Lichun 立春 marks the beginning of Chinese new year for 2011. 2011 is Xinmao 辛卯 (Yin Metal Rabbit) year.

For Rabbit year babies, parents can choose Chinese characters containing these symbols:

水, 木, 未, 亥, 口, 糸, 宀, 田, 禾, 彡, 巾, 衣, 示

The above is only a partial list of what characters are suitable for the baby. Of course, we have to consider other factors too, such as the parents year of birth.
