Ding writes:

Calvin, you have come to the right place for great Chinese names.

Let us start with your daughter's name, Lilian.

After carefully considering the number of strokes and overall elements, I have selected 余芮恩 Yú Ruì-ēn. (Yi Rui En).

Paying attention to the number of strokes, Ruì-ēn is the closest sound I can get to Lilian.

The meaning:

芮 ruì - This is a character used in Chinese name. It is also a Chinese surname.

恩 ēn - This character symbolizes kindness, favor and grace.

For your son's name Winston, I have also selected the Chinese characters close to the sound. And the characters are also carefully selected according to the number of strokes. This is to achieve a harmony in the elements.

The name selected for Winston is 余玟唐 Yú Wén-táng (Yi Wen Tang).

The meaning:

玟 wén - This refers to the veins in jade; or a jade-like stone.

唐 táng - This is the character for Tang as in Tang Dynasty (618-907).

Hope you like these auspicious names for your children. I am very happy that they finally have Chinese names!
