Chinese Name Stroke Count
Why Do We Choose Chinese Name Using Stroke Count?
Why is the Number of Strokes Important?
Every number contains one of the five elements - wood, fire, earth, metal or water. Each character having a certain number of strokes, therefore, has one of the five elements hidden in it.
When the characters in the name blend with each other, it also means that the numbers (and the elements) are interacting with each other.
If the elements from these numbers do not blend well with each other, then it will be like unlocking a combination lock with the incorrect numbers. Now, only by mixing the right numbers, in the right order, can we unlock a combination lock.
It is the same with the strokes in Chinese characters of a name. Every character, with its number of strokes, must be beneficial to the one before and after it. They must be mutually beneficial like links holding together to form a strong chain.
How Do We Know Which is the Right Number of Strokes?
The calendar that we use daily contains numbers (days) and months. It is a system of calculating the progressing of days for the earth completing its orbit around the sun. In the Chinese lunisolar calendar, besides calculating the days, there is something even more important.
The Chinese lunisolar calendar measures the seasons and energy in a year. It calculates when the spring starts and when it ends. When the next season, summer, begins. And so on.
There are 24 solar terms. There are four seasons. There are 60 Chinese years pillars. There is a heavenly stem and an earthly branch in each hour, day, month and year. Every day is almost unique like how everyone's face is different.
Because of the different combination of elements in any given day in a year, every one is also born with a different combination of elements. Those elements are encoded in our 4 Pillars chart.
This unique combination of elements that everyone has, will affect how you interact with your surrounding, people and things. Surely you have seen, why some people are naturally attracted to enjoy water sports (water element). Some are attracted to mountain climbing (earth element).
Some people want to grow up to be firemen (fire element), some want to work around plants and animals. And so on.
With this logical reasoning, we therefore must adapt our Chinese names to complement or strengthen the elements that are uniquely ours. One of the ways to complement our unique elements is having the right number of strokes in the names.
The right name will ensure that the elements work well with our unique elements.
So you can see now how important it is to adapt Chinese numerology, and stroke count in your name.
Choosing a good name by counting the number of strokes is important. However, it must be used together with other analysis.
