There are three ways to use it.

You can translate English words to Chinese. The Chinese writing will be in Traditional Chinese writing. Wondering how to write the word 'horse' in Chinese.

Just type it in the little box next to 'Go'. Click on 'Go' or press enter.

And get your results.

You will get the Pinyin pronunciation - mǎ. And the meaning.

Sometimes you will see many results. They are close or similar meanings to the word you have entered.

Select from the drop down box - Chinese >> English.

Perhaps you see some Chinese words that you don't understand, type it (or paste it) in the little box besides 'Go'. Click on 'Go' and see the results.

Select Pinyin >> Chinese. Type in Pinyin and you will get the Chinese words.

For example, enter 'jiu'. Click 'Go'.

You will see some results of Chinese words that are read as 'jiu'.

From the results, you will notice that the Chinese characters and Pinyin are in blue. They are hyperlinks. You can click on them.

Clicking them will bring up a window. There are more details. There are four tabs that you can explore - Word Detail, Character Detail, Character Etymology and Stroke Order.

Hear it and speak it - (Word Detail tab) you can learn how to pronounce the Chinese word by clicking on the talk bubble icon.

Speak it in other languages - (Character Detail tab) you can see the Cantonese, Japanese, Korean and Vietnamese languages of speaking that word.

Write it - (Stroke Order tab) you can learn how to write the word by clicking 'Animate'.
