Let's Learn Chinese Online Free!

Wow! You can actually learn Chinese online free!

How the internet have really improved our lives. You can now learn Mandarin Chinese language online. At your pace. At your place. Anytime.

You are surely lucky. There is no need to pay school fees to learn Chinese.

Alright, here is the first site to learn Chinese. No, not YouTube. But of course, it's the first place to connect you to those two sites. Nowadays, you can get almost anything on YouTube, can't you?

What I really want to show you are sites created and written specially to teach Chinese.

The first one...

David has a blog at http://freechineseblog.com. He teaches Chinese with his videos.

You can learn the four tones in Mandarin Chinese. You can also learn the Pinyin. It's really a very good place to learn Chinese.

If you have not learned Chinese before, don't pay too much attention to the Pinyin spelling. It's not read the way you would read English. You have to listen to how it is pronounced.

This is your first time learning how to speak Chinese? Then, let me speak a little philosophically here. Empty your glass!

Just imagine that you are a baby learning your mother's language. You didn't learn how to read first. You learn how to talk first. Forget about the Pinyin spelling first. Mimic the sound first and the tone first.

But if you are here to learn how to pronounce Chinese names? OK, then maybe you can look at the Pinyin spelling. David's video above is good. For example, you get to learn how to pronounce 'Xing'. And how the 'g' consonant would sound like.

The second blog...

OK, what do you think of the second video? You can also learn Chinese online free with Peggy's blog at http://www.peggyteacheschinese.com.

She has many interesting YouTube videos. Besides YouTube, her blog also has more details on learning Chinese.

Alright, go to those blogs now. And start to learn Chinese!

Keep practicing your Chinese. That's the best way to learn it. If David can, you can too.
