Is our name and luck related?
There are two school of thoughts regarding luck. One, those who believe our luck is fixed. Second, those who do not believe in luck.
The
first group is known as fatalist. They believe when we were born, our luck is already coded in our date and time of birth. Nothing happens by accident. Everything is fixed.
Their logic goes like this. Think about it. Why is it, from our date and time of birth, we can 'read' so much about it? Under the hands of an expert life chart analyzer, so much can be told accurately about us. How many brothers and sisters we have. How did the parents die. How many brothers and sisters the parents have. When will the person get married. When will he get the first child. When will he die. Etc.
If all this can be told just by analyzing the date and time of birth, isn't our luck been coded already?
This group also believes there is a time for everything. Everything is meant to happen the way it is. Every event will unfold naturally. Doing the right thing at the right time is the way to go. This is also the concept in
Tao Te Ching.
Tao Te Ching is certainly not an ordinary book written by an ordinary person. The philosophy is very profound.
According to the fatalist view, we should live life going with the flow. Follow the flow in our daily life. Work one step at a time.
If you know how to read your own code, you can avoid a lot of unnecessary problems. Such as knowing when to get married, when to change job, etc.
Our date and time of birth is the main code that we were born with. Not forgetting, there is also the lifetime interaction of our main code with the yearly, monthly, daily and hourly timing. Through this interaction with time, at times we will enjoy good fortune. At times, bad.
Learn to live with what is coded. And do not feel disappointed when you are down. When you learn to accept that life is coded, and everything is meant to happen, then you will not be too worried with life. Come what may. You will just soldier on.
The
second group believes luck is in our hands. We can be the greatest golfer. We just need to practice harder. We are the captain of our ships.
This group says that if we just say everything is fated, then we should not do anything. They argued, if we are destined to be the richest man on the planet, then we should just wait.
This view is too extreme. Of course, we should live life by doing our part. Even if you know your code, just continue to carry on with what you are doing. But don't go against it.
The issue now is finding a person who can read our codes accurately. It is hard to find one. Thankfully, I personally know one. And after knowing my code, what I will face in the future, I have become happier. Because I now know how to 'walk' my life path. Knowing when to do what I needed to do. That's happiness.
Name and LuckSo if our codes and luck are already written, is it important how our names sound? Or is it important how the name is written?
From experience, I have seen certain names carry a certain virtues and traits.
And if you analyze the Chinese names of the great leaders in the history of China, you will certainly notice their names were meaningful. And not simplistic.
You will also notice in Chinese historical writings, the male and females names can differentiated. That is one of the first rules of good naming. See the
mistakes of naming.
Even if both persons were born during the same time, can they both have the same luck? Besides the location of birth, the place of residence and other factors, the name also plays an important part. The one with a well chosen name will have a better luck. That is the reason why a lot of celebrities change their names.
This topic on name and luck is highly debatable. But to the disbeliever, a thousand words will not convince. To a believer, one is suffice.
